I am a counselling psychologist and wellbeing practitioner with over 20 years of experience across India and abroad.

I believe that well-being should not be an add-on, but an essential part of how schools, families, and communities function.

I hold a PhD in Counselling Psychology,  Master’s degrees in Psychology and in Clinical Mental Health and a Postgraduate Diploma in Family Therapy. I practise a range of therapeutic approaches, including Positive Psychology, CBT, DBT, REBT, SFBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Restorative Circle Facilitation.

I am also a certified POCSO trainer, QPR Gatekeeper trainer, and a certified clinical supervisor for mental health professionals.

Over the years, I have worked with diverse communities — from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, Canada, to leading wellbeing teams in international schools. I have trained educators, parents, counsellors, and leaders through national and international platforms such as IPPA, ISCA, Rotary International, BSAI, and others. I have also served as a facilitator and consultant psychologist for LBSNAA.

Through Flourish Well, I provide counselling, supervision, training, and wellbeing programs tailored to the needs of individuals, families, schools, and organisations.

"Dr. Binu Thomas is an exceptional therapist, whose warmth, empathy, and professionalism inspire trust and transformation. She creates a safe, nurturing space that empowers individuals to navigate challenges, and grow with confidence. She is a truly remarkable professional."

“It was an absolute pleasure meeting Binu Ma’am and attending her session on school mental health. I truly appreciated the depth of knowledge and insight she brought. What stood out most was her commitment to integrating wellbeing into the very DNA of school systems  with a proactive rather than reactive mindset which is both refreshing and essential.

Her reflections on Gen Z and Gen Alpha were particularly valuable. With her deep experience working with children, she brings remarkable clarity, structure, and practical wisdom — not only in understanding their world but also in helping schools embed these ideas systemically.”
